Cleveland Police are appealing for information and any witnesses following an assault in Middlesbrough;

Police have been praised for their speedy response after a man was arrested less than two hours after officers visited the victim, obtained CCTV, and identified a suspect;

...and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council have announced that they will be carrying out work in Guisborough today and tomorrow.
