The police helicopter and dog units were in operation in Guisborough over the weekend in the hunt for a missing person.

Officers were called to the grounds of Gisborough Priory just before 11pm on Friday as part of a search for a vulnerable missing man.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police has confirmed that officers were called to the grounds of the priory at 10.52pm on Friday and commenced a search at the location.

A short time later they located the man safe and well in the priory grounds.

Police have issued an appeal to trace a missing 12-year-old boy who was last seen in our area on Friday.

Officers from Cleveland Police are appealing for information to find missing 12-year-old Daniel Ramsdale, who was last seen at around 3:30pm on Friday afternoon near to Normanby Road in Eston.

He was last seen wearing a red polo T-shirt, black trousers and blue trainers.

Police say that they believe that he may be in the Dormanstown area.

Officers are appealing directly to Daniel to get in touch on the non-emergency number 101.

Disney fans from across our area have been flocking to see the latest Disney blockbuster movie.

And rather than choosing to watch 'Beauty and the Beast' at one of the big multiplex's, moviegoers from across Redcar and Cleveland have been flocking to watch the movie at Redcar's Regent Cinema.

Hundreds have been standing in line to see the film, which was released on Friday, with long queues extending along the Esplanade for all its performances over the weekend.

Hundreds of people have also commented on a photograph of the queues on the Zetland FM Facebook page, with many of the people posting recalling standing in similar length queues for Star Wars and Grease back in the day.
