Trains between Saltbun, Redcar and Middlesbrough aren't in service tomorrow due to a strike.

There will also be limited service between Middlesbrough and Darlington.

Northern Rail guards and some drivers are staging the 24-hour strike after the future of the guards’ jobs became uncertain.

The strike will last all day, similar to one that took place last month.

Commuters are asked to make alternative travel plans, including catching the bus instead.

A Redcar Councillor is trying to raise funds to build a dog park in memory of Baby and Scamp, two dogs victim to animal cruelty.

Coatham Ward Councillor Carl Quartermain is aiming to raise 50 thousand pounds for the dog play area.

It comes after two recent cases of animal abuse that made national headlines - Baby who was filmed being kicked, punched and thrown downstairs by Andrew and Daniel Frankish.

And more recently Scamp who was found buried alive in Kirkleatham woods last October.

Both dogs had to be put down to end their suffering.

In light of the abuse, Carl says he is trying to create a place where people can go to play with, remember and celebrate our canine friends.

He is proposing the park be build near Redcar seafront along with a dog friendly café and exercise equipment.

Clubland is bringing its very own party to Redcar beach.

The seafront will be transformed into one huge party featuring three stages, all playing nostalgic dance music.

It's being organised in partnership with Middlesbrough nightclub Gorilla.

Acts are yet to be confirmed but the beach party will have 25 DJs and live acts - and even an after party.

And Redcar beach is no stranger to partying, with Get Loose on the Beach being held there last year.

Clubland on the Beach is set to head to Redcar on the fourth of August.
