The woman was possibly wearing a green coloured jacket and jeans.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Wayne Pursley of the Redcar Neighbourhood Police Team on the non-emergency number 101, or on 01642 302828.

Today is Lifeboat Day in Redcar.

The Redcar inshore lifeboat will be on display in the High Street where you can meet the volunteer crew members who give up so much of their own time to help others.

The lifeboat ladies guild will be there with a fundraising stall, and you might even meet one or two of our TV stars who have appeared in the amazing BBC2 series Saving Lives At Sea.

For operational reasons the lifeboats won't be launching in the afternoon.

The event gets underway today from 9am.
