Police are appealing for information after a robbery at the Coral Bookmakers in Eston at the weekend.

At around 3.15pm on Saturday, two men in dark clothing and with their faces covered entered the betting shop on Fabian Road, threatened the female staff and stole an amount of cash before making off.

The women were uninjured but left very shaken.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen these two men, or who has private CCTV or dashcam footage which could help our inquiries, is asked to contact DC Garrett via the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The volunteers of the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team were called into action in our area following a vehicle accident on Sunday.

Just before 9.15pm the team were contacted by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service with a request to assist them at Castleton where a car had reportedly gone off the road and down an embankment.

North Yorkshire Police were also in attendance.

Team members were called out from home and drivers were allocated to take the teams two Land Rover ambulances.

Whilst en-route, the team were advised that the driver was in an ambulance receiving treatment, so our assistance was no longer required.

22 Team members were involved (plus two co-ordinating remotely) for approximately 30 minutes.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after a fence was smashed at Albert Park.

Several police vehicles attended the park in Middlesbrough at around 2.15pm on Sunday afternoon.

Cleveland Police received a report that a group of males and females had allegedly smashed a fence and glass bottles in the park.

The force said that staff in the park were also reported to have been verbally abused.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and obstructing and resisting police.

He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
