Another 361 covid-19 cases have been confirmed on Teesside - with Stockton once again worst affected.

Across the Stockton borough, another 149 cases were announced in Public Health England data released yesterday evening.

In Middlesbrough there were a further 70 confirmed cases, whilst here in Redcar and Cleveland there were a further 78.

A temporary booking system is to be launched at Dunsdale Recycling Centre in an effort to prevent queues as essential sewage works are to be carried out.

The work to install a sewage pipe to connect to tanks on the old landfill site adjacent to the recycling centre is due to start today and will take up to four weeks.

It will affect the entrance road to the recycling centre which will reduce space. No vehicles will be allowed to queue on the main road for safety reasons.

From Friday, residents must book a slot at a time of their choice when visiting the recycling centre and must still prove their address when arriving. From 11 November, no cars will be admitted to the site without an appointment.

Appointments are available from 8am to 5pm, seven days a week, on a first-come first-served basis, and can be booked on the Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council website.

Residents are being asked for their views on a plan to create a vision for Redcar.

If you live in Redcar and have not received a paper survey through your door asking for your views on the Redcar Town Deal and would like one, contact the council to get one.

Paper copies of the surveys are being accepted until this coming Monday.

You can also complete the survey online, at redcartowndeal.com.
