Health Secretary, Matt Hancock has praised Redcar for its vaccine roll out thanking NHS staff and the local MP for their help and support.
In a special video message, the Health Secretary praised the efforts which mean that almost half the people in Redcar have been vaccinated so far.

A woman has been injured after a fire in Middlesbrough.
At 1.30pm on Friday emergency services were called to a property on Costa Street after a report of a fire was called into police.
A woman in her 40s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The fire is currently being treated as unexplained.
Anyone with any information should contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.
Police are warning Redcar residents to be vigilant after a rise in bicycle thefts.
Officers say that with warmer weather and greater freedoms just around the corner, thieves are stealing bikes from outside of homes, and from sheds and garages.
Now police are advising bike owners to ensure that they keep their bikes locked and secure at all times.
You should also ensure that your bike is security marked and stored in secure premises where possible.
