The RNLI at Redcar have warned the public to take extra care after a rockfall occurred at Huntcliff at Saltburn at the weekend.
On Saturday afternoon a large rockfall was seen by people on the beach at Saltburn and Redcar, with a large cloud of dust rising from the scene captured by members of the public on photos on social media.
Posting on Facebook on Saturday, the Redcar RNLI warned the public that the cliffs at Saltburn are unstable and that this is clearly a substantial fall.
The advice is to take care if you go anywhere near the bottom or top of the cliffs and if you spot an emergency dial 999 and ask for the coastguard.
