Police are appealing to trace a victim of an attempted robbery in Grangetown.
The incident happened around 11:50am on Thursday 9th December on Lanchester Road.
A man in his forties was riding a pedal cycle with an older female with blonde hair when was approached by a number of males who tried to steal the bike from him.
The males are believed to have arrived in a black Ford motor vehicle, possibly a Ford Focus or Ford Fiesta.
They are believed to have threatened the victim, possibly with a weapon, before leaving the scene without the bike.
Officers are appealing to trace the victim, as they would like to speak to him about the incident.
They would also like to appeal to any witnesses or anyone with further information to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.
A grade II listed building and the former home of Barclays Bank in Loftus is being restored to its former glory as part of a wider regeneration scheme.
The Council secured the freehold of the building in December 2019, with the goal of bringing it back to life and boosting community and business confidence in the high street.
Plans for the building feature four self-contained holiday let apartments on the upper levels with room to sleep 12 people in total, whilst the downstairs space will be marketed as a commercial opportunity for two new retail businesses.
516 drivers have been stopped so far across Cleveland during the Christmas drink and drug drive campaign, with 29 drivers found to be under the influence.
Police launched the campaign on 1st December for the festive period and have been urging drivers not to get behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Posters and beer mats with stern warnings to drivers about "dicing with death" if driving intoxicated are being distributed across pubs in the Cleveland area.
The messaging is also set to be broadcast on the big screen at the Middlesbrough FC home game this afternoon.
