Fresh from drawing with Penrith, Guisborough's boss was delighted with a victory against more Cumbrian opposition in Celtic Nation.

By Guisborough Town manager Chris Hardy

On Saturday, we made the long trip across to Carlisle, in a game that saw lots of endeavour without any real quality evident by either team.

A first half goal scored by Mulligan in the dying stages proved to be a enough to bring all three points back to Guisborough.

On reflection this was a game that gave myself a lot of of satisfaction given the fact we didn't play particularly well and still ground out a excellent three points on the road.
