The body of a man has been found at a cliff after reports of a missing person were made to police earlier in the day;

The body of a man has been found at a cliff after reports of a missing person were made to police earlier in the day.

Cleveland Police say it received reports of a missing man on Friday and an investigation was launched.

However, several hours later, around midnight on Friday into Saturday, the force announced that the body of a man had been found at Huntcliff in Saltburn.

Officers say they believe that the man's body is that of the person they were searching for earlier in the day.

No further details have been released by officers.

Police are warning the public after a number of recent 2-in-1 burglaries across the Cleveland force area.

A 2-in-1 burglary is when someone gains access to a property and steals the car keys and subsequently a vehicle. 

26 of these crimes have been reported since 1st December 2022, with eleven suspects arrested. 

Fourteen of the vehicles have since been recovered by police. 

Officers are advising people to keep doors and windows locked even when at home, use key safes or use anti-theft key pouches to help prevent keyless thefts.

SABIC are alerting the public to potential flaring at the Wilton Site during the course of today.

The S18 polymer plant on the Wilton Site will be coming offline for maintenance work today.

During this shutdown flare improvement work is being undertaken, which is likely to cause some level of noise disturbance.

SABIC has apologised for any disturbance that the improvement work may cause.
