A man has been arrested following a drugs warrant in Eston.

The warrant was executed at an address on Jubilee Road in Eston, on Wednesday afternoon.

A quantity of Class A drugs, believed to be crack cocaine, was recovered from the address alongside drug paraphernalia. 

A 62-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and he appeared at court yesterday.

Cleveland Police are appealing for information following a serious two-vehicle collision in Eston.

The collision occurred on Eston High Street at the junction with Birchington Avenue shortly after 3pm on Wednesday  and involved a white Mercedes and a white Renault van.

The female driver of the Mercedes suffered life-threatening injuries to her head and pelvis, and she was taken to James Cook University Hospital.

The driver of the Renault suffered minor injuries.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnesses the collision or anyone with any relevant dashcam footage to contact them on 101.

More drugs and weapons have been removed from the streets during patrols to tackle violence in Middlesbrough town centre.

The proactive team spotted a man acting suspiciously at the junction of Chipchase Road and Linthorpe Road at 9:15pm.

When officers approached the man, he attempted to flee the area and threw away a mobile phone.

Police chased the man, caught him and searched him, finding a Kinder Egg containing what is believed to be crack cocaine.

The 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was taken into police custody for questioning.
