Police are appealing for the public's help after a collision that happened yesterday on the A66.
Shortly after 1pm yesterday an unknown vehicle collided with a white Peugeot on the eastbound carriageway of the A66, just prior to the slip road for Borough Road in North Ormesby.
The other vehicle did not stop at the scene.
The 45-year-old woman driving the Peugeot was unhurt, however a five-year-old girl travelling in the vehicle sustained a minor injury to her hip.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage of the incident is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
A man has been arrested after a cannabis farm was discovered in Guisborough.
Last Thursday morning, officers from Redcar and Cleveland’s Neighbourhood Policing Teams discovered the cannabis farm on Morrison Road in the town.
A total of 62 cannabis plants were seized, believed to be worth up to £52,000.
A 37-year-old man was arrested and charged with being concerned in the production of cannabis.
He appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court last Friday.
A resident suffered smoke inhalation and burns to their hair after a fire broke out at a property in our area.
Just before quarter to six yesterday morning Cleveland Fire Brigade and the North East Ambulance Service were called to a home on Beaumont Road in North Ormesby.
The casualty was assessed and was found to be suffering from smoke inhalation and burns to their hair, however they declined to go to hospital.
It is not yet known what caused the blaze.
