An investigation has been launched after a car was 'driven into' a local doctor's surgery.
Two support beams have been erected to support the brickwork at the Parkway Medical Centre, off Cropton Way, in Coulby Newham, after the black Peugeot vehicle collided with the reception area of the practice and ended up through the brickwork.
The incident happened around 3.30pm yesterday, with police, fire brigade and ambulance crews all called to the scene, along with workers from Middlesbrough Council.
Fire brigade cordoned off the area with red and white tape, as council workers put up purple solid barriers around the crash site, which attracted a crowd of onlookers.
Emergency services have released initial details but it is unclear whether anyone was left injured in the incident.
The volunteer crew of the Redcar RNLI lifeboat have been called into action in our area.
Shortly after 11pm on Tuesday the Redcar Atlantic lifeboat was launched to assist with a Police incident at the Transporter Bridge.
The lifeboat returned to station after police resolved the issue a short time later.
On the lifeboats return the volunteer crew prepared it for the next call and left the station at approximately 3am.
Police have arrested a teenager after a motorbike chase in Hemlington.
Officers from Middlesbrough CID arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of driving offences after a motorbike reportedly failed to stop for police.
Whilst conducting night-time patrols in Hemlington on Tuesday evening to tackle violent crime and drug dealing, officers sighted a suspicious motorbike.
The vehicle reportedly failed to stop for officers but the rider was detained a short time later by plain clothed officers.
A 14-year-old boy was later charged and bailed to court for driving with no licence and driving with no insurance.
