Police have issued an appeal for information after a man was found with serious injury in Guisborough.

The 45-year-old man was found on Maltby Close shortly after midnight on Sunday.

He had an injury to his head and was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he is currently in a stable condition.

Following numerous enquiries police believe the man sustained his injury between 11.25pm and 11.53pm on Saturday 23 March in the Helmsley Drive area.

Anyone with CCTV, dash cam footage or any information about the incident is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101.

Officers are appealing for information and any relevant CCTV footage after a 13-year-old girl was injured by an air gun or BB gun in Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred on Sunday at around 5pm as the girl walked along a path at Ormesby Beck between the “blue bridge” and Overdale Road estate.

The girl suffered an injury to her head and she was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment where her injuries were not deemed to be life-threatening.

Two males are believed to have been in the grassed area behind a low bush close to the path where the girl was at the time of the incident.

One is described as wearing a cap and dressed in black and the other was wearing a blue coat.

Cleveland Police say that their enquiries are ongoing.

A closure order for a problem property in Redcar has been extended.

The property on Lawrence Street in the town was previously issued with a three-month closure order back in January, however following a hearing on Wednesday it has been ordered to close for another three months.

Officers from Redcar and Cleveland’s Neighbourhood Policing Team worked closely with council officers on the application following intelligence from the community about anti-social behaviour.

The order means the tenant must not enter the property and it will be inaccessible to anyone for three months.
