Police are appealing for witnesses after a report of an attempted robbery in our area yesterday.

Officers were called to a house on Maplewood Drive in Teesville in the early hours of yesterday morning.

At around ten to four, three or four men in dark clothing broke into the house and threatened the occupants.

They searched the house, then left empty handed.

Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the incident.

Officers are asking anyone with CCTV, doorbell footage or dashcam to call them on the non-emergency number 101.

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident which took place outside a nightclub in Redcar.

The incident occurred outside the Aruba nightclub on Redcar High Street at around ten to four in the morning on 15th June.

A man was driving a grey Fiat Panda dangerously on pavements and towards pedestrians.

A group of people had to take evasive action to jump out of the way of the car, and a woman was injured whilst doing this.

Witnesses, or anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.

The volunteers of the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team have been called into action in our area.

Just after 2pm yesterday, the team were called out by the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, although the initial call had been made to Cleveland Police regarding a male who had been taken ill between Roseberry Topping and Gribdale Gate carpark.

Team members were deployed and met up with the walking party not far from the carpark.

Following assessment and treatment he was later taken by the walking party leader to meet up with a relative, with a recommendation for onward assessment at hospital.
