A man has appeared in court after an alleged attempted robbery on a vulnerable victim.
The 24-year-old man appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court yesterday, after being charged in connection with a report of an attempted robbery on a vulnerable elderly victim in Dormanstown earlier this month.
Officers from Redcar CID conducted enquiries and arrested the man on Sunday.
He was interviewed and subsequently charged with attempted robbery on Monday.
He was then remanded in police custody overnight until his court appearance yesterday.
Two men have today appeared in court and pleaded guilty in connection with incidents related to disorder in Middlesbrough on Sunday 4th August.
A 22-year-old man was charged with violent disorder and appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday.
He was remanded to be sentenced by the court.
A 24-year-old man was charged with burglary.
He also appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday and was also been remanded until his sentencing.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council are encouraging parents in our area to apply for funding towards childcare.
If you are a working parent and your child will be 9 months old before 31 August, you may be eligible for 15 hours of funded childcare from the UK Government.
The funding is available for working parents who earn at least £183.00 per week.
All eligible parents are encouraged to apply before 1st September to secure their place for the autumn term.
