Man Dies Following Collision In Hemlington
Following a collision in Hemlington last night, Tuesday 28th October, police can confirm that the driver of a Ford Fiesta sadly died.
39-year-old Andrew Corfield, from the Hemlington area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision took place at around 7.30pm on Cass House Road at the junction with Fordyce Road, involving a silver Ford Fiesta and a silver Hyundai Santa Fe.
A 17-year-old female passenger, who was also travelling in the Fiesta, is in a critical condition in James Cook University Hospital.
An 18-year-old local male has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, causing death by dangerous driving and failing to report the collision. He remains in police custody this morning.
