It's the 25th anniversary of Redcar & Cleveland's twinning association with the German town.

This week visitors from the town will arrive and take part in several activities.

This will include taking in Preston Park Museum, Ampleforth Abbey and a visit to see the Saxon Princess exhibition at Kirkleatham Hall Museum. During the week a visit to Loftus is planned to hear a talk about the discovery given by Steve Sherlock.

Elsewhere during the week a tour of the promenade and a visit to the Beacon is planned and a concert by the Apollo Male Voice Choir is also a main highlight of their visit.

There will also be a celebratory dinner where Redcar & Cleveland Council will be hosting a special evening to celebrate the signing of the twinning charter back in 1990.
