Redcar Newmarket will face high-flying Stockton West End, at Redcar Athletic, next month, after a hard-fought victory, on Saturday.

Redcar Newmarket will play Stockton West End in the Final of the Kecol Lou Moore Trophy, at Redcar Athletic on Wednesday 4th May, after Newmarket won 2-1 at Grangetown Boys Club, the score remained at 0-0 at half time, but five minutes into the second half Dan McCauley gave Newmarket the lead at 1-0, the Boys Club had a player sent off and Newmarket took advantage when Craig Skelton made it 2-0 in the 65th minute, Liam Cooper pulled it back to 2-1 in the last minute, but Redcar Newmarket are through to the final.

Stockton West End had to come from behind when they entertained Redcar Town, to avoid an All-Redcar final. aJames Dowson gave Town a 6th minute lead, Ben Turner with his 47th of the season made it 1-1 three minutes before half time, in the second half West End took command and Michael McLoughlin made it 2-1 on the hour, Joe Teasdale made it 3-1 five minutes later with Sean O’Brien and Eddie Dasey scoring inside the last ten minutes to make it a final score of 5-1 and a place in the final.

On the League front three matches were victims of waterlogged pitches but Boro Rangers increased their lead at the top of the table with an emphatic 15-0 victory over an understrength Nunthorpe Athletic, Matthew McQueeney scored for time, Jamie Bellamy, Nathan Liddell, Joe Woods and Lewis Colley all scored a brace each with James Dillon, Dean Talukder and Danny Lockwood scoring a goal each, Thirsk Falcons won 3-2 at Fishburn Park, Gareth Barber opened after seven minutes for a narrow 1-0 half time score, Luke Burnett made it 2-0 before Mark Waterfield pulled it back to 2-1, Ryan McKendry made it 3-1 in the 72nd minute before Waterfield made it a final score of 3-2, St Mary’s College took a 2th minute lead at Yarm when Ben Cotts scored, Cotts made it 2-0 from the penalty spot three minutes into the second half with Paul Vaughan made it 3-1 with Ryan Mackay, Guido Battista and Matthew Calvert adding further goals to make it a final score of 6-0.
