Grangetown Netball V Scotland U21 review
Grangetown took 16 players to QE in York to take on the Scottish u21 squad. 5 of which were U15
The game was intense and thrilling from the start we played 6 quarters of 15mins instead of the normal 4x15
Grangetown were captained by Jill Reah who lead from the centre position.
The game was fast and furious and all of the u15 took the court with strong performances from Emily Haley and Kirsty Weledgi previously u14 national clubs team mates. Alex and Tilly and Abbie all u15 players also took the court showing just what youth can bring!
Having played with Jo Pettit last season and watched her at the world champs in AUS then to take her on in a game like this it was amazing!
The power and talent of Kate Williams and Jill Reah twin sisters lifted the team and their constant strength on court stopped Scotland running away with a big score
Grangetown a strong defence in moji and Kelly helped reduce the damage from the shooters of Scotland
Adele, Grangetown GS and Sarah Sainty also played huge parts in the score line Sainty was awesome in her game play and adeles shooting finished the attack!
