Redcar Bears host probably their biggest meeting since the sport returned in 2006 this Thursday evening at 7:30

The Premier League Fours Final ,  traditionally staged at Peterborough, was unfortunately abandoned during its original staging due to the serious injury sustained by Newcastle's Lewis Kerr. Lewis is making strong progress in recovery and has already expressed his intention by be riding again in time for next season.  This has allowed the meeting to take place at Redcar tomorrow night

Whilst unfortunately Redcar did not make the final four, it still promises to be a top class meeting with 4 very strong teams. Added to that, there a number of riders in the field who go very well around the Media Prima Arena so it should be a meeting not to be missed. Ipswich, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Somerset are the 4 teams in the final and the confirmed line-ups are as follows:

Ipswich (Red helmet colours): Daniel King, Nico Covatti, Rohan Tungate, Cameron Heeps, Gina Manzares

Newcastle (Blue helmet colours): Steve Worrall, Tero Aarnio, Ludvig Lindgren, Anton Rosen, Simon Nielsen

Edinburgh (White helmet colours): Craig Cook, Sam MAsters, Kevin Wolbert, Justin Sedgmen, Erik Riss

Somerset (Yellow/Black helmet colours): Brady Kurtz, Richie Worrall, Charles Wright, Josh Grajczonek, Paul Starke

Bears Brian Havelock is naturally delighted to be staging the event, and hopes that Redcar can put on a show to be proud of:

“It is without doubt the biggest event we have staged here since the sport returned to Teesside back in 2006. The Fours always provides plenty of entertainment, it is always a highly charged affair and I'm certain Thursday will be no different. As a club we will be making every effort to do the meeting justice in much the same way as Peterborough always have done down the years.”

The event will be ran over 16 heats, with admission £15 for adults, £12 for concessions, £4 for kids aged between 11 and 16 with under 11's going free.
