Emergency services were called to the A174 near to Redcar yesterday evening following reports that a car had flipped onto its roof.

A man is in police custody after reports of burglaries in the Nunthorpe area in the early hours of yesterday morning. 

...and a man has been sent to prison after two incidents of theft in our area.

 

Emergency services were called to the A174 near to Redcar yesterday evening following reports that a car had flipped onto its roof.

The blue vehicle landed upside down on the A174 roundabout near Yearby Bank and Kirkleatham Memorial Park.

The incident occurred just after 7pm yesterday evening.

A police van, a police car and an ambulance were called to the scene.

It is not yet known whether anyone was injured in the incident.

 

A man is in police custody after reports of burglaries in the Nunthorpe area in the early hours of yesterday morning. 

Officers responded and a 36-year-old man was detained and arrested on suspicion of burglary.

He was taken into police custody and police say that enquiries are ongoing.

 

A man has been sent to prison after two incidents of theft in our area.

The incidents happened earlier this month in Guisborough. 

Neighbourhood officers investigating the incidents charged the 42-year-old man and he appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

He was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison.
