A man has appeared in court charged with attempted rape and harassment following an incident in Eston;

A woman has appeared in court after an alleged break in at a bakery in Guisborough;

...and a motorbike rider has been rushed to hospital after a crash in Coulby Newham.

 

A man has appeared in court charged with attempted rape and harassment following an incident in Eston.

The incident occurred on Monday morning after police were called to the Granwood Road area just before 8am on Monday.

The female victim is being supported by officers and police remain in the area conducting further enquiries and offering a reassuring presence to local residents.

The 39-year-old man appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court yesterday morning.

 

A woman has appeared in court after an alleged break in at a bakery in Guisborough.

The 29-year-old has been charged with burglary, assault and possession of a knife.

It comes after a report of a break in at Brickyard Bakery and Academy, in Westgate in the town.

The 29-year-old woman has also been charged with an unrelated charge of theft.

She was remanded in custody and appeared in court where she was bailed with conditions.

 

A motorbike rider has been rushed to hospital after a crash in Coulby Newham.

The collision, which involved a motorbike and a BMW, took place on the B1365 Hemlington Lane at the roundabout connecting Newham Way to Viewley Hill Avenue.

A motorbike was seen in road, close to the roundabout, where officers and two police cars remained parked at 3.10pm. 

Cleveland Police has since confirmed that one person was taken to hospital, with their injuries currently unknown.
