A man has been taken to hospital with injuries believed to have been caused in a 'targeted' firearm attack.
Officers from Cleveland Police were called to Richmond Court, in Grangetown, at around 3.35am on Bank Holiday Monday following a reported firearms incident.
The force has now confirmed that a man was taken to hospital with injuries believed to have been caused by a firearm.
His injuries are not deemed to be life-threatening.
Officers say enquiries are ongoing and that they will be continuing to carry out patrols in the local area to provide reassurance to the community.
The incident is believed to be a targeted attack and there is not believed to be any wider threat to the community at this time.

Officers were spotted on several streets across the area on Monday evening, targeting a number of properties.
Officers with guns and wearing riot gear were seen on Kingsley Road, Fabian Road, Westminster Close, and Wilton Way, just before midnight.
Cleveland Police have not yet shared any further details regarding the operation.
However pictures widely circulating on social media showed several armed police units and dog units parked along the streets.

Yesterday afternoon Cleveland Police and Cleveland Fire Brigade attended the scene at the former Turford's Social Club on Turford Avenue in Brambles Farm in Middlesbrough.
The road was closed due to the fire, with drivers advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route whilst the incident was dealt with.
Residents in the area were advised to keep all doors and windows closed whilst emergency crews dealt with the situation.
